Lawn Markers

Markers are memorials made from bronze or granite that are level with the lawn or grass.

In traditional ground burials, markers are lawn or grass level memorials made from bronze or granite. Oftentimes, you will find a combination of the two with a bronze marker being “mounted” on a granite base to add stability and strength far superior to simply mounting the bronze marker on concrete. Markers typically rest on grave sites that are smaller than what is required for upright monuments. If necessary, these lawn level markers “could” be moved more easily if required for the interment, whereas monuments are not easily moved.

With designs based on sacred symbols and writings of Christianity, you will find a wide range of lawn markers from which to choose during a meeting at Catholic Cemeteries office, or during your in-home consultation with a Family Service Advisor. Markers can be personalized with an individual’s photo or even a collage of photos that tell a special story of one’s passage through life, a story to be shared with all who visit the Catholic cemetery for generations to come.

Throughout the Archdiocesan cemeteries managed and operated by Catholic Cemeteries of Northeast Kansas, there are certain sections which specifically allow only flush memorials markers. Catholic Cemeteries offers an array of styles and colors in domestic and imported granite when choosing a flush marker. In addition, Catholic Cemeteries offers a complete line of beautifully designed bronze memorials which can be customized to depict your loved one’s life history as it is cast into bronze.
